The mid-size option at 35 cocktail / 16 dining capacity. Zephyr Star is a step up in size from MV Zephyr while still feeling intimate for smaller bookings. From $850/hr. Great balance of capacity, space, and price for groups in the 20–35 range.

Zephyr Resort

The flagship. Largest capacity and the most luxurious fit-out of the three. From $1,250/hr. This is the Zephyr you pick for weddings with larger guest lists, premium corporate entertaining, and occasions where the vessel itself is part of the statement.

All three Zephyrs are licensed, so drinks run through the onboard bar. BYO food is welcome on all three — many guests bring their own catering, grazing platters, or work with a catering partner. Every charter includes a professional captain and hostesses.

Pittwater is one of Sydney’s most beautiful wedding settings. The Zephyr boats are particularly suited to wedding ceremonies, receptions, or both. Capacity works for 20 to 50 guests across the fleet. Intimate enough for a meaningful ceremony, large enough for a proper reception.

How much does Pittwater boat hire cost?

Zephyr charters start at $750/hr for MV Zephyr, $850/hr for Zephyr Star, and $1,250/hr for the flagship Zephyr Resort. Most charters have a 3–4 hour minimum. For a 4-hour MV Zephyr charter with 20 guests, you’d typically spend $3,000 on the boat plus BYO food and bar tab.

Do you offer houseboat hire in Pittwater?

No — Boatique’s Pittwater fleet is the 3 Zephyr charter vessels. These are licensed day-charter boats with captain and hostesses, not houseboats. For traditional houseboat hire with overnight cabins, we recommend looking at Hawkesbury-based operators who specialise in houseboats.

Can I hire a self-drive boat in Pittwater?

Do the Zephyr boats do fishing charters?

The Zephyrs are set up for cruising and private events rather than fishing specifically. If you want a fishing-focused charter in the Pittwater area, let us know when you enquire and we can discuss options or refer you to specialist fishing operators.

Can I BYO food and drinks?

BYO food is welcome on all three Zephyrs. Drinks run through the boat’s licensed bar service — you don’t BYO alcohol. Many guests do BYO catering (grazing platters, restaurant catering, chef) plus add a drinks package or tab through the boat.

Are the Zephyr boats suitable for weddings?

Yes — all three Zephyrs are popular wedding venues on Pittwater. Capacity ranges from 14 dining (MV Zephyr) up to 50 guests cocktail (Zephyr Resort). We coordinate with celebrants, florists, photographers, and caterers to deliver a seamless on-water wedding.

How far in advance should I book?

Weekend summer charters (Oct–Mar) book 4–8 weeks ahead. Peak wedding season (Nov and Mar–May) books out 2–4 months ahead. Midweek and winter charters are typically available with 1–2 weeks’ notice.

Is Pittwater better than Sydney Harbour for a charter?

For certain occasions, yes. Pittwater is quieter, more natural, with stunning national park scenery — genuinely different from Sydney Harbour. For wedding ceremonies, milestone celebrations, and anyone wanting a more intimate private experience, Pittwater wins. Can I do an overnight Pittwater charter?

The Zephyr day charters are licensed for day events rather than overnight accommodation. For overnight cruising in Pittwater or up the Hawkesbury, we can arrange multi-day charters on certain Sydney Harbour superyachts that relocate for the trip. Enquire and we’ll propose options.

What happens if weather is bad?

Pittwater is sheltered, so it handles weather better than open water. Light rain rarely cancels charters — all three Zephyrs have enclosed interior saloons. Strong-wind forecasts may trigger a reschedule at the captain’s discretion. Weather-related reschedules are free of charge.
