The Axopar 28 is a self-drive sports cruiser for up to 8 guests — fast, comfortable and built for longer runs across the harbour. A 350hp Mercury outboard, an inside toilet, a Bluetooth sound system and a console canopy make her the boat to take to Manly, Store Beach or anywhere else you want to reach quickly. A current NSW Boat Driving Licence is required. She departs from The Spit Reserve in Mosman. Half day from $795; fuel is charged separately at cost.

Make your way to the wharf where you'll meet the captain. He'll provide a short briefing, showing you around the boat with a short test drive and answering any questions you may have before handing over wheel. After dropping him off at the meeting point you are free to explore Sydney Harbour at your own pace.

The canopy over the cockpit and rear seat provides good coverage against showers but it's not adequate for consistent rain. If there is more than a 50% chance of rain (more than showers) forecast the afternoon before according to the Bureau of Meteorology you are welcome to reschedule. We don't want you to have a miserable day in the rain!

Who can hire and drive?

Hirer must over 25, hold a valid boat license and be able to demonstrate competent skills at captaining this boat on the day. We provide a comprehensive safety briefing prior to departure. Whilst an easy boat to drive, we do require that you have experience driving a vessel over 100hp. International boat licenses are welcome
