How the day runs

Book, board, bubbles.

1

Book online

Choose the boat and a start time. A morning start gives the calmest water; a midday start suits a long lunch.

2

Bring everything

Platters, cake, bubbles, a speaker. It’s all BYO with no restrictions for guests. One of the group stays under 0.05 and drives — we brief her at the wharf.

3

Anchor and swim

Chinamans Beach, Store Beach, Shark Island or Rose Bay depending on your wharf. Drop the ladder, put the music on, take the photos.

Why self-drive beats a hens charter

For groups of six to ten, it’s not close.

A skippered hens cruise runs $1,500 to $3,000 before catering. Coral is $400 for three hours; Marlow starts at $495 for eight and Frankie at $495 for ten. Bring your own food and drinks and the whole day costs less than one round at a harbourside bar. If the group is bigger than eight, or you’d rather have crew, our hens party boat hire page has the crewed options.

The bigger reason is the day itself. No timed departure, no other groups, no bar staff. Just the boat, the harbour and the people you chose.

Bigger group? Book two boats

Up to eighteen across two hulls from the same wharf.

Coral and Coral 2 depart The Spit within the hour of each other; Marlow and Frankie share Double Bay wharf. Book both, cruise together and raft up at anchor. Two Corals is $800 for twelve people; Marlow plus Frankie is eighteen guests with a BBQ and a toilet between them.

Frequently Asked Questions

➤ Does someone need a boat licence?

No. All three boats are no-licence. The driver gets a full briefing and a test drive before leaving the wharf, and we’re on the phone the whole hire.

➤ Can the driver drink?

The driver stays under 0.05, the same rule as a car. Everyone else can bring whatever they like — there are no alcohol restrictions for guests.

➤ Can we decorate the boat?

Yes: bunting, balloons and a banner are fine. No confetti, glitter or anything that ends up in the harbour, and everything comes home with you.

➤ Is there a toilet?

Marlow has a toilet on board. Coral doesn’t — plan a stop at Manly, Rose Bay or Watsons Bay, all of which have wharves and facilities. Frankie doesn’t either, but she can stop at approved beaches and wharves, all on the digital map we give you on the day.

➤ What about the weather?

If it’s unsafe we move you to another date or give you a credit. Overcast and calm is still a great hens day.
