When you hire a boat with us, the boat only price includes the boat itself, a friendly skipper to navigate, staff and fuel. All prices are in Australian Dollars. Wharf fees are typically shown separately as they may differ according to different locations. Food and bar services aren’t included in the initial hire charge, but we offer a variety of food and beverage packages for you to choose from. Many of our guests also enjoy BYO, especially for smaller groups under 50 people. We can provide an exact price breakdown once you’ve picked your boat and package. Personalising your boat with decorations is usually fine, just let us know in advance as there are some terms and conditions that vary between boats. Our team is here to help answer any questions and get you set up for a fantastic day on the water.
What is the Security Bond?
A security bond is required for all cruises as a precaution to cover any potential damages caused by guests. This might include repairs or replacement of furniture, fixing cigarette burns, marine toilet repairs, or extra cleaning if needed. While the hire covers standard cleaning, additional deep cleaning (like for vomit) may incur extra charges. The payment is usually processed as a pre-authorisation before your cruise.
What is a pre-authorisation and how does it work?
A pre-authorisation is a type of banking transaction used for your security bond. About a week before your cruise, we’ll send you a link to process the pre-authorisation online. The funds are temporarily held by your bank (frozen) for about a week, though this can vary. If no damages occur during your cruise, the pre-authorisation expires, and the money is returned by your bank. If there are damages, we’ll capture the necessary amount within the specified window.
What happens if it’s pouring with rain?
Rain doesn’t usually lead to a cruise cancellation. As long as the conditions are safe, we’ll proceed with the cruise.
Is it ok to bring the kids?
Absolutely! Kids are welcome on board, but please make sure they’re supervised at all times. Some boats are more child-friendly than others, so let us know if you have little ones, and we’ll help you pick the best option.
How do I reserve a boat?
To reserve a boat, you’ll need to provide a deposit and a completed booking confirmation form.
What happens if I have to cancel the cruise?
The specific terms and conditions for cancellations are outlined in your booking form, but generally, deposits are non-refundable. Please refer to your booking form for detailed information.
Can I wear high heels?
This depends on the boat. As a rule of thumb, it’s best to avoid high heels if possible. Smaller heels are usually okay, especially on larger vessels, but check with us if you’re unsure. Stilettos are typically not allowed on most boats.
Can I bring my own food and drink?
This varies depending on the boat. We offer various food and beverage packages, but many boats also allow you to bring your own food and drinks, particularly for groups of 50 people or less. Let us know your preferences, and we’ll find the best option for you. Feel free to reach out if you have any more questions. We’re here to ensure you have an amazing time on Sydney Harbour!
Can I bring my own DJ?
Absolutely, many of our boats are well-equipped to handle a DJ setup. You’re welcome to bring your own DJ if you’d like, but keep in mind that it can often be simpler to use the boat’s resident DJ. They already have their equipment set up and know the unique requirements of playing music on a boat, like ensuring the speakers are stable.
Our resident DJs are very flexible and happy to take your music requests either before the event or on the day itself. They have a broad selection of music styles to fit any vibe you’re aiming for, making it easy to create the perfect atmosphere for your cruise.
