Fusion Party Boat Hire Sydney — 79ft for up to 400 Guests
Fusion is a 24-metre Incat Crowther catamaran for charter on Sydney Harbour, licensed for up to 400 guests — one of the largest private charter vessels on the harbour. Where most Sydney boat hire tops out around 100 guests, Fusion is built for the events that do not fit anywhere else: the 250-person Christmas party, the 300-guest corporate function, the milestone birthday where everyone gets an invitation. It hires by the deck, so a 60-guest birthday and a 350-guest end-of-year party are both perfectly sized. Across two levels you get two fully licensed bars, a real dance floor, a DJ booth, integrated plasma and LCD screens, a state-of-the-art sound system with microphone and PA, air-conditioning throughout the main deck, ample restrooms and a fully equipped commercial galley with cool room. The open upper deck keeps 360-degree harbour views on hand while the enclosed main deck stays comfortable rain or shine.
Frequently asked questions
How many guests can Fusion carry?
Fusion is licensed for up to 400 guests, making it one of the largest private charter vessels on Sydney Harbour. The enclosed main deck cabin seats around 120 or holds 150 cocktail-style, and the open-air upper deck adds another 80. Because Fusion hires by the deck you can take just the Upper Level for a smaller group, the Main Level for a mid-sized function, or the whole boat for a large event.
How much does it cost to hire Fusion?
Fusion is hired as a 4-hour cruise, priced by deck level. The Upper Level (up to 80 guests) is $3,500 January to October and $4,500 November to December. The Main Level (up to 150 guests) is $4,000 or $5,000. The Whole Boat (up to 400 guests) is $6,000 or $6,500. Every level includes a captain, a deckhand and a cruise director, and the $130 wharf booking fee covers both pick-up and drop-off.
Can we BYO food and drinks on Fusion?
Yes, and Fusion is unusually generous about it. If you bring your own plates, cutlery and tablecloths there is no charge for BYO food at all; otherwise they are supplied for $5 per person January to October or $6 November to December. BYO drinks is a flat $400, which covers the RSA-certified bar staff (one per 70 guests). If your food needs heating, a kitchen staff member is $400.
Does Fusion offer catering?
Yes. Fusion has a fully equipped commercial galley with a cool room and its own food server. Catering runs from $85 per person for canapés (choose 8 items), $90 for canapés with a mini fork buffet, $100 for the gourmet buffet and $120 for the seafood buffet — each rising by $15 to $20 per person in the November to December peak. Beverage packages are $15 per person for soft drinks, $65 Bronze, $70 Silver and $80 Gold.
What is included when I hire Fusion?
Every Fusion charter includes a captain, a deckhand and a cruise director. Onboard you have two fully licensed bars, a dance floor, a DJ booth, a state-of-the-art sound system with microphone and PA, integrated plasma and LCD screens, air-conditioning throughout the main deck, ample restrooms and a fully equipped galley. Connecting your own phone or laptop to the sound system is $150.
What events is Fusion suitable for?
Fusion is built for large functions that will not fit on a typical charter boat — Christmas parties, corporate events and product launches, weddings and engagements, milestone birthdays, and bucks and hens parties. It also works well for smaller groups: the Upper Level suits 60 to 80 guests and still includes its own licensed bar, dance floor and DJ booth.
How long is a Fusion charter?
Fusion runs as a fixed 4-hour cruise. If you need longer, contact the Boatique team and we will arrange an extended charter directly with the operator.
